WHAT IS IT

Dragon Crypto Gaming is going to be a universe of multiple interconnected game platforms. These games will focus on the limitless potential of decentralized finance (DeFi) to offer a fun and rewarding RPG experience. Currently, the team has launched “Tiny Dragons” and now launching “The Legend Of Aurum Draconis”. These are the 2 that we will focus on in this document.
 
I will refer to The Legend Of Aurum Draconis as DCAU. The Legend of Aurum Draconis is the first installment of DCG's play-to-earn RPG series.
 
DCAU will be a fantasy-themed role-playing game (RPG). It is text-based to start but the team has said that eventually this will be moved to graphics-themed gameplay. Let’s dive into DCAU first.

DCAU GAMEPLAY MECHANICS

GAMEPLAY LORE

Long before humans roamed these lands, Dragon Haven was the fabled breeding ground of dragons. Over the ages, many battles were fought between humankind and dragons as humans tried to settle in this fertile and resource-rich region. The dragons retreated to distant lands where they could be free and safe to nest.
Aurum Draconis, the fearsome leader of the dragons, never forgot nor forgave the loss of his ancestral lands. He made an oath to himself and the other dragons to one day return to Dragon Haven and reclaim what once was theirs…
 

GAMEPLAY

Just like other RPGs, you will adventure out into the world with your characters. The characters in-game will be NFTs known as a hero. These will always be pegged to $100 in DCAU. Meaning if DCAU is $200 it will only cost .5 DCAU.
 
You’ll fight enemies and hordes to continuously gain experience and find new items/armour/crafting material/potions etc. You can also take a team of heroes into battle with you and on quests and switch between them to make the best use of their skills and attributes.
 

QUESTS

There will be main quests as well as side quests. Combat and crafting will each have their own questlines as well. The main quest line is apparently to find and kill the “Golden Dragon”. There will be the classic RPG quest log.

COMBAT

The combat is based on body parts (head, chest, arms, legs etc) The armour you have in these spots affects the damage you take and vice versa. The combat is text-based currently with plans to eventually go graphics-based.
 

LEVELING

You gain experience through almost everything you do in the game being combat, mining, foraging, and crafting items. As you gain experience and lvl up you will receive stat points to increase your heroes abilities.
 

STAMINA/TURNS

There will be a max of 10 turns which is the same thing as traditional stamina in most games. Each time you go mining or foraging or into combat it will cost 1 stamina or turn. Every hour a turn will regenerate, additionally, you can sleep at the inn or craft/buy stamina potions to keep questing and lvling.

WORLD MAP

  • HEALERS HUT - Players can engage the services of the Healer to restore their strength (Small cost in DCAU)
  • THE PLAINS - This is where you go to fight enemies and hordes (Cost 1 turn/stamina)
  • MARKETPLACE - This is where you will buy/sell items as NFT’s
  • DRAGONHAVEN - ???
  • WILD BOAR INN - Players can rest and refresh their turns/stamina (Small cost in DCAU). As well as get special boosts from the bard's songs or head to the backroom to try their luck at some fun mini-games.
  • GROM’S BANK - Offers treasury bonds that will allow you to mint a unique, limited edition NFT that you can then stake to receive DCAR every day. Also, you can stake DCAR with Grohm's Bank for attractive yields!

LOOT AND MARKETPLACE

Everything you do in DCAU will give you loot of some sort combat, foraging, and mining. All items in-game are original artworks and are minted as NFTs.
 
There will be a marketplace similar to Runescape or WoW where everything is priced by players. This will give the actual in-game economy the opportunity to operate as a free market and assign value to different items as the players see fit. These items will be purchased using DCAU.
 
Gathering resources through mining and foraging will allow you to create materials as well as things like armor, weapons, potions, etc. It will cost DCAR to craft. You can then buy/sell these on the marketplace for DCAU.

HIGHER-LEVEL STRATEGIES

The game will act as a standard RPG and if you’ve ever played one of these you know there are a number of ways in which you can go about creating your character/land build. After reading and listening to a number of documents and videos I will outline a few strategies for how to earn high rewards in DCAU as well as passive income.
 
SPECIALIZED CHARACTER BUILDS
There will probably be a good return on characters who are specifically designed for crafting the highest $$ amount items. Whether that is armour or potions specializing in foraging/crafing or mining/crafting solely could have high returns.
 
If you can create a character(s) who’s build and stats are designed to gather the highest level resources and create high price items this can be quite lucrative. Especially if you can afford to rest at the inn or purchase many stamina/turn potions in order to lvl faster and gather more.
 
 
PASSIVE MARKETPLACE ON LAND
There will be the ability to create things such as your own marketplace on your plot of land. You will in turn get a % of all the transactions that happen in your marketplace.
 
If you can be a first mover on this and create a large marketplace with highly sought after items (this could be done as a guild or with friends somehow) you have the opportunity to capture a large % of transactions happening on the platform. This will become very competitive and eventually I am sure large guilds or marketplaces will form however being ahead of the curve and having a plan in place could be very lucrative.
 
 
KILLING THE GOLDEN DRAGON FIRST
Whoever can complete the main quest and kill the golden dragon first will be rewarded with a 1/1 item. This item will be worth a lot as the game progresses as there will only ever be 1.
 
If you built a character strictly designed for combat and completely the main quest you could win big by achieving this. Obviously this will be extremely hard to complete but that’s why the reward is so big.
 
Sole focus on combat and lvling correctly coupled with the ability to purchase rests at the inn and potions to give you more turns/stamina could pay off handsomely if you pull this off.

TOKENOMICS

There are 2 tokens in The Legend Of Aurum Draconis, $DCAU and $DCAR. Let’s look at what each of them does.
 
$DCAU (GOLD)
$DCAU is the first stage token, It was 100% minted and distributed through staking. There was no VC’s, or launchpads with unlocks it was a fair launch. This is extremely important for the health of the tokenomics.

  • Hard capped supply at 155k
  • Deflationary tokenomics so supply will only go down
 

What Is DCAU Used For

  • Governance (Ability to vote on various proposals. Direction of platform, use of treasury for investments, reward boosts and buybacks)

  • Equipment NFT Marketplace
  • Bond For $DCAR
  • Healers hut and resting at the inn
 
$DCAR (SILVER)
$DCAR is the second stage token. It is used for game rewards, staking and crafting.
 

Few Key Points

  • Capped and controlled supply of 40,000,000
  • Will be emitted over 3 years from the token generation event (TGE)
  • Deflationary tokenomics through in game burning mechanism
 

What Is DCAU Used For

  • Rev sharing via staking DCAR. Earn in both DCAU and DCAR
  • Required for crafting NFT’s (In-game items armour, weapons)
  • Game rewards
  • Crafting resources (Potions, resources, building materials)
  • Staking
 

Crafting With DCAR

  • Gathering resources and creating new and unique equipment NFT’s like armour, weapons, potions, resources like iron bars etc that are used to trade in the marketplace
  • Equipment NFT’s lose durability and need to be fixed overtime with crafting.
  • As land NFT’s are introduced you will reqwuire crafted items to build on your land to create passive income
 
The team has also taken 0 in terms of $DCAU. This is huge as it was a sign of good faith to the community to show everyone that they are in this for the long haul and they are here to build. Any $DCAU that the team owns was purchased from the secondary market at market value
 

BURNING MECHANISMS

  • 20% of all DCAU and DCAR spent by the players will be burnt 🔥
  • 5% will go towards ecosystem expenses
  • 75% will be circulated back into the game rewards system
 
The team has designed the tokenomics to have a sustainable ecosystem as they realize that this is a big downfall of many P2E and GameFi games.

THE TEAM

The team was a bunch of friends who got together and put their own money in to start this project. The team held 0 $DCAU and none were minted to them at TGE (token generation event). They planned for $DCAU to be the governance token and so they made sure that the community owned the token.
 
The team isn’t fully doxxed in regards to knowing who they are specifically, although they do provide an overview of themselves in this document here. I have been in the discords and heard them speak on a few podcasts/Twitter spaces and they seem extremely dedicated to the project. The fact again that they never took any $DCAU and launched with a fair launch and didn’t offer any presale or whitelist or VCs etc is extremely bullish, and I believe a testament to the team's dedication to this project for the long term.

THE ROADMAP

At the current time of writing (Feb.21) they have just released the “character airdrop” and the 1,150 first characters we’re minted on Feb.19th at 12 pm UTC. They sold out in under 3 minutes.
